Heather Farm Park
North San Carlos Drive at Heather 101 acres, swimming pool complex,
softball fields, equestrian center. Home of the Walnut Creek Aquanuts
synchronized swim teams. Pool hours: Monday through Friday, 5:30
a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.; Sat-urday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to
3:45 p.m. Pool fees: $3 per person or $48 per month. Information:

14 acres, picnic facilities, barbecue, basketball court, open grass
area, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, horseshoe courts, restrooms,
parking lot. Swim center: Open Memorial Day to Labor Day from 1
to 5 p.m. daily, (925) 939-1532. Walnut Creek Model Railroad Society
and its giant H.O. scale train layout, open third Sunday each month
1 to 5 p.m. and last Friday each month 8 to 10 p.m., (925) 937-1888.
Lindsay Museum
First and Buena Vista avenues
Nationally renowned wildlife museum and rehabilitation center offering
educational programs. Accepts injured wildlife from 9 a.m. to 5
p.m. during fall and winter and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. during spring
and summer. Museum open noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday
and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends from September to June. Summer hours
are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Fees: Adults $4.50,
seniors $3.50, children age 3-17 $2.50, children under age 3 free.
