TAX INFORMATION:

Property Taxes - Based on a rate of 1.25% of fair market value.
Established at each resale.
Annual adjustment of 2% each year.
Billed in two installments, Nov. & Feb.

Sales Tax - Current rate of sales tax, 8.25%, is based on the state rate plus an additional rate to help finance BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit).
Other Taxes - California has a personal income tax on wages and earnings. Federal Excise Tax does apply to those items applicable. Local communities have rights to levy certain taxes and fees to cover local issues.
